The last time I was in this office someone fell asleep. Needless to say, I was not anxious to go back. And after being there for an hour last Thursday, I was very anxious to leave. And so leave I did, rescheduling for today.
Today the line of people waiting was mercifully short. Last week I was about 15 deep and they were auditioning 1 or 2 people every 20 minutes. Today I sat with two other boys and waited for the show to begin. As I sat and sat, others came in behind me to begin to create what I guess is a typical back-up in Melissa Skoff's office.
The audition scenes went well. I thought I did the things I wanted
to. There was only Melissa and a reader this time and neither of them
fell asleep, so I feel that I am at least improving in this office.
When I finished, Melissa suggested, "Hold onto those sides,"
which I hope is a tentative callback proposal and not an effort to
encourage recycling.
