Callback report--

The callback was not much of a step beyond the audition. One more person was in the room this time. Four total instead of three. We did do a different scene, though. The first time it was scenes 1 & 2, this time it was 1 & 3.

That was good news and bad news for me. I was ready for 3 last time, so it's nice to get a chance to perform it. But on the flipside, I really liked scene two and thought I did some good things with it. Either way, I felt good about it all.

The scenes went very well again. i had a lot of fun with all of it. I realized that part of the joy in this case is that the people watching the audition are so supportive that it naturally creates a better performance. They laughed a lot, appreciated interesting ideas, and the reader, Sheila's associate, did a completely wonderful job reading the scene. It gave the scene a lot of the life that's often missing when you do a sitcom scene in a tiny office. So I felt I did well, but partly because I felt they did well.

Whether or not I end up being right for this role is still yet to be seen. I think I am still on track, though, and at the end of the road, it is an ABC show and that, I would think, would still work to my advantage. We'll see.
