Audition report--

Nothing to write home about today. Louis and Charlie are the leads of this Australian adventure, in which a kangaroo runs off with a suitcase full of money, or some such thing. I made the mistake of preparing three scenes today. As I was driving up to the audition, I checked the audition sheet from my agent for the address and my eyes caught the note "scene 3" at the bottom. It was true. We only did scene 3.

Scene 3 did go well. There was only one joke really, at the end of the scene, and I think I hit it right. Oddly enough, I feel I'm more suited to play Charlie in this movie but it doesn't appear that I'll get the opportunity to read for it.

The casting director Mary Vernieu has some pretty impressive credits on her resume, including...Any Given Sunday, Three Kings, Cruel Intentions, The Faculty, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Nixon, How to Make an American Quilt, Dead Presidents, and JFK, among others. I really don't know that many film casting directors. And after today, I still don't. I was put on tape by her associate. He seemed happy with what I did so maybe I made a fan. We'll see if anything develops.
