Audition report--

Larry Toffler and Chantel Sausedo are moving forward with their pet project, the film version of Five Card Stud. There was the original play, which ran in the summer of 1993, which starred Larry Toffler and Chantel Sausedo themselves. I was in the supporting role of BILL at the time. Larry also had a reading of his movie script two years ago. At that I read the role of GREG, which has always been earmarked as "Larry's role," but I read it so Larry could hear the script without having to perform it too.

Today Larry and Chantel and the director, Hank, were mixing and matching a handful of guys to play the round table of buddies that make up the poker game. We were there for about an hour-and-a-half. I read half of the time as BILL and the other half as PAUL, who has a more significant role. PAUL would be more fun to play because I would get to do more, but I guess there is some concern that I am not right for the role. Both parts felt fine today, though.

There is no shooting schedule for the movie yet, that I am aware of, but I do understand they wanted to hold some rehearsals, especially for the poker scenes. It should be fun.
