These are the kind of commercials that I feel like I have no shot at getting. I don't think I do a bad job, there's just no one out there that seems to respond to my look as being appropriate for their commercial. Or I suck. But I like to believe the former.
The problem, as I see it, is the lack of dialogue. I think speaking works in my favor. Consequently not speaking works against me. In this spot, a driver of a car, me, sees Wendy's hamburgers materializing in odd places on the way to meet his girlfriend. I did all the requisite facial mugging and tried to add as much cleverness as I could. The bottom line is that the spot will go to someone with a more "interesting" face than mine. The bottom bottom line? Maybe I should consider my uninteresting face a blessing.
