Well, I guess they did like me after all. Now I just hope they like me the most of the people they have called back. I drove down to the set in Culver City where they are preparing for the big shoot. Only one other guy had signed in before me and I thought I had taken quite a while to get down there.
Anyway... The director introduced himslef, I delivered my lines. We did it again, and the director said something like, "Well, that's all we need to see," suggesting I could go, but did he mean it was so good, no need to see anyone or anything else? Or just so bad, he wanted it taken out of his sight as fast as possible? Well, I did leave with a good feeling, for the first time in a while after a commercial audition. At least I broke the Callback Curse. Breaking the Unemplyod Curse may be a much harder row to hoe.
