The young couple are sitting at home watching a movie eating popcorn. The moive is a romance set on a beach and it bores the guy. He eats a little popcorn and suddenly an army storms the beach. She eats a little popcorn and it's back to the romantic couple. He eats, more army guys. And so they fight until the last kernel of corn is left and is eaten by the DOG. Lassie appears on the TV.
This kind of audition can be fun and it was, but it can be MORE fun (and it wasn't) when your scene partner is good. My partner, however, didn't really grasp the concept of the commercial, nor did she follow the directions of the casting director very well. Wonderfully nice young lady, but ndid not turn in a stellar performance as YOUNG WIFE. This feels like the third time I've read for a popcorn spot exactly like this and, of course, no luck so far.
