Well, it was excellent. I had an excellent time auditioning for the commercial. I arrived 15 minutes early for my 4:40 call, and didn't go in until 5:15 or so, but once I did, it was great.
The woman, didn't get her name, was very nice, very "coachy," I guess you might call it "directy." I rehearsed the piece twice and then did it twice. After the second one, the woman behind the cue card, who was watching it on TV, said, "Nice." And the original woman I mentioned said, "You got it. That was nice." So I walked out of there on a cloud of air.
Of course, gushing my excitement out in here sets me up to look like a fool, but it was really cool and very exciting. It was a reminder why I'm out here doing this. Because I love it.
